but I can return only markup editing on the hardcopy,
which I'll either re-fax or mail back to you.
   
1. Fill out the form

Fill in the blanks with all your information.

2. Specify the level of editing

If you're unsure about this, request a bid first (see #3). I'll tell you the depth of work I think the piece needs.

3. Tell me what you want

Do you need the piece edited immediately, or would you rather get an estimate of the depth of editing required, and the cost?

4. Specify the time alloted

Is standard completion time (48 hours) okay? Or is it more urgent than that? There's an upcharge for rush jobs. Book-length jobs will take longer.

5. Upload the document to be edited

Click the Browse button to find the file on your computer, then click the Open button to load it into the Browse window. [Note: I work in Microsoft Word. You can save your file to MSWord format from any word processor.]

6. Order the work

Click the Submit button to send me the file and instructions.

7. Expect to hear from me immediately

I'll contact you to verify that I have received your order, and follow up with any questions. When the work is done, I'll e-mail you the fully-edited document in final form. You'll then use the Track Changes/Compare Documents feature of your word processor — it's simple, and I'll include careful instructions on how to do it — to examine each change and either approve or deny it.
